Rob Tovar

Rob Tovar is the Director of Operations at 2112, and Director at Fort Knox Studios’ The Hangar, a 7,200 square foot production space located in 2112/Fort Knox’s ecosystem. 2112 is the world’s first entertainment incubator located inside Fort Knox Studios Chicago. Rob recently announced Fort Knox Network, a new 24/7 digital streaming platform ready to launch worldwide early fall 2017. He is one of three co-founders and partners.

Rob’s diverse background includes work in television, radio, digital media production, corporate business, talent buying, and an honorable discharge from the USMC. His experience has aided him in becoming a well-rounded individual with a great network in the Chicagoland area. Rob’s career in corporate America started with Weyerhaeuser Company, where he quickly rose to the position of Purchasing and Environmental Manager. He was soon recruited to Univar USA where he managed and maintained multimillion-dollar accounts.

Following his successful 15-year tenure in the chemical industry, Rob spent some time working with high-profile clientele, managing corporate relationships and partnerships, and finding new business development for TV and digital media. All are skills he pulls from every day for his work at 2112 and The Hangar.

Rob’s peers know him as a great ambassador and willful advocate for his clients, work, and those in the community. The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce affectionately refers to him as “a mini-chamber of his own.” When he’s not keeping up with his busy schedule, Rob likes to spend time with loved ones, family, and friends. He enjoys travel, sports, exercise, and volunteering at local food pantries. You can often find him at the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry or cheering on his friends at their latest endeavor.
