About The Speaker

Jim McCormick, Songwriter

Jim McCormick was never your typical band frontman. In 1991, he and his bandmates founded the 90’s era roots-rock band, The Bingeman. The band consisted of Marc Funti on drums, Ed Conway on guitar, Cleaver Schmidt on Bass and vocals, and Jim McCormick on lead vocals. The Bingeman had a distinctive sound, more melodic, great lyrics all brought together by Jim McCormick vocals. A crowd-pleaser, the band amassed a dedicated fan base due to touring extensively and holding court at New Orleans’ uptown music clubs, Jimmy’s and Carrolton Station. The band's run ended in 1999.
