Peter L. Cho, Ph.D.

Dr. Peter L. Cho serves as the Executive Dean of the Delgado Community College West Bank Campus.  Cho has previously served Delgado Community College as the Dean of the Business and Technology Division, Lead Department Chair and West Bank Division Chair for the Arts and Humanities Division, Department Chair of Humanities, Program Coordinator of Music and Music Business, and was a faculty member in the Music area. Dr. Peter L. Cho serves as the Executive Dean of the Delgado Community College West Bank Campus.  Cho has previously served Delgado Community College as the Dean of the Business and Technology Division, Lead Department Chair and West Bank Division Chair for the Arts and Humanities Division, Department Chair of Humanities, Program Coordinator of Music and Music Business, and was a faculty member in the Music area.

Peter holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans, a Masters Degree in Music Performance from Loyola University, New Orleans, and a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans.  He also holds a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, Certificate in Career Pathways Leadership, and is a graduate of the Louisiana Community and Technical College Leadership Development Institute.

Peter Currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Algiers Development Corporation, is a Voting Member for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS, which puts on the Grammy Awards), is a former executive board member for the American Federation of Musicians, Local 174-496, and serves as an ordained Elder in the First Presbyterian Church, New Orleans.

Peter is also a professional musician in the New Orleans area, performing regularly with the James Rivers Movement, The National WWII Museum, and for many other groups and venues.  He was also a long-time faculty member and piano instructor for the Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp.
